I have just lost my job and have a family that depends on my wage, I have not stopped crying yet! I so upset not sure where to go next I have put my CV back out there but need something asap. Help.

So sorry, that is one of my biggest fears. Have you been to the Jobcentre to see what benefits you are entitled to?

I am sorry to hear that you have been made redundant. Make sure you receive the correct amount of redundancy pay and make a claim for benefits.

Could you temp for a while intil a permanent job turns up? Sometimes temp jobs turn into perm, you can try before you buy

Was it redundancy or other. In either case are you sure they've done everything by the book?

Well I was still probation period and as it stands they don't need me as there is not enough work for us all to do so they just had to let me go. Its always the way when you look tot he furture something happens. : (

It might be worth while having a chat with citizens advice about benefit entitlements. They were really helpful when my partner lost his job.

Do it quickish too, we took our time and lost out on payments as a result. :(

Have you checked your house insurance doesnt cover redundancies to pay for mortgage?

As previous poster said, could you look into temping? I have got all my best permanent jobs via temping.
