bloody hell dh went for a job today but was told before he even started the interview/presentation that there was a high standard of candidates not exactly :-(

not exactly helpful just before he was going to give a 20 minute presentation! However the interview did go well and he answered every question well. So have no idea what they will decide on-he already works for the company but up the line so if he gets this job he will be home!! No one double expense and commutes. Its a similar role but different subject.Do you think being internal will go against him or in his favour?

Think positive. If they said there was a high standard of candidates, he was one of the high standard candidates!

IMO internal sometimes has an advantage, they know his work record first hand IYSWIM.

It seems to be a nightmare out there. Somone I know recently prepared a big presentation for the interview, which was a full day thing, miles away, then no-one got the job, because they decided they wanted someone with a higher qualification than they originally asked for!

Thankyou, thankyou although he works for the company they don't know him in that department iykwim its a big company. Im so hoping he gets it it really would be the perfect job. He has a brilliant record with company I just hope they give him a chance as he really wants to find work closer to home :-( fed up with being a weekend wife

Well they are hardly likely to say that everyone else is shit and he's got the job in the bag!

I can understand how it might have put extra pressure on him though.
