I applied for a job (within charity sector) clsoing date was 22/2. Interviews are week of 7/3. Is it realistic to think that I haven't been shortlisted or is their hope left yet???

There's hope.

If closing date was last Tuesday, it may have been a couple of days before they managed to get all the relevant managers together to review the cvs/forms and do the shortlisting process - could easily be end of last week. Even if they've already done that, if they are (for example) inviting by letter, there's no reason to assume the worst if you haven't had anything by 4 working days later.
