Jobseekers and self employed

Hi, I'm currently working a few hours a week freelance and also on income support. In a couple of months I will be transferred to jobseekers as my youngest child will be 7. I plan to get a part time job of between 10 to 16 hours and week and continue the self employment of a few hours a week. Jobcentre has told me to qualify for new deal for lone parents weekly payment of £60 (payable for up to one year) I have to work 16 hours or over of paid work. Does any one know what counts as paid work when self employed? The jobcentre staff didn't know.

Thanks

Rainbow35 :)
