Wait for the budget in March.....

ScramVonChubby · 26/02/2011 19:46

UC is in 2013 or thereabouts; phased in as well.

There is talk of a different scaling for self employed people- so you have to make minimum wage profit for a minimum of 16 hours (as a single aprent) or 24 hours (if in a couple) before youa re classed as working (bad news for start ups) but that's it.

March budget won;t even be finalised yet: am no Tory lover but no point in panicking about what-ifs yet. If they cut our the self employed they'd alienate potential entrepreneurs so pointless.

We get nothing as profits good however we hardly wallow in this technically it's on the pot! Both myself and Hubby take a small wage but he works all the hours while usually I'm left with the house and children. I struggle to put the hours in but peed off that we Employ local staff but have to cough up enormous nursery fees for 2 days a week and one day school wrap around which equates to 3/4 to my monthly drawings.
