Returned to work and a temp has my role ?

Hi, not really that bothered about this, although Im not sure if it is the correct behaviour of the company.

I returned to work in January 2011 after approx 10 months maternity leave.

I know I was into my additional maternity leave and I dont have to be given the same role, but ;

When I returned to work, the person that was covering me is a TEMP and has remained in my role.
I have taken over the role of another colleague who has now gone on maternity leave. ( I already have experience of this role aswell )

What do you think ? Are they in the wrong atall ? Or is it all legit ?

Does n't sound right. As long as the second role is same status, pay and terms you could have been offered it but iirc the choice should be yours Hmm What happens when the other lady returns ?

Thats right, as long as its similar level and paygrade then they are ok to put you into the other role.
