Are all the best jobs in SE?

I only ask because in S Yorks where I live there seems to be very little, and jobs attract hundreds of applicants. If you jobsearch around the capital there appears to be a lot more opportunities plus salaries I could only dream of.

Has anyone moved South to take advantage of the jobs market?

I'm in the South East. Yes, there are jobs but they are fewer than normal. Quite a lot of competition down here too.

The salaries are higher but take a look at the house prices. You need to earn that sort of salary to pay for the mortgage! It's bonkers around here!!!

am in the SE and while there are potentially more jobs (ie, you're close to London and other biggish cities) there are also a LOT of people so there isn't exactly a surplus of jobs!

I'd say its worse actually, the house prices versus salaries versus childcare costs.... not worth it !
