Have just started course to become a childminder - we were told that, understandably, we and family members over 16 in our home would undergo this check but a colleague on the course has just called me to ask how far back the check will go - am not sure so does anyone else have any idea

It will show anything that has ever been recorded on a police record, final warning, cautions, etc, but it is irrelevant if it has nothing to do with children.
