Just want a simple straightforward good quality one.

Have a look at building one yourself at Microsoft Office live. If you do go with a designer make sure you own the Domain name not the designer.

He sorted out my hosting so that I own my domains and my broadband is entirely separate.
He has no interest in maintaining the site - was all too happy to give me the code once the main whack was done.
