Hello there, I hope this is not going to sound too pathetic... but I am planning to start job hunting and I need to update my CV. I have been 'mainly' a SAHM for 3 years (apart from a 2 hours a week teaching job for about a year) and I am not sure what to write about the SAHM bit. What do people usually write? Confused Many thanks for your help

haven't done much to be honest, apart from looking after him full-time, thought that would be a big job to be mentioned but in the real world that probably is not valued as much as I thought and probably hoped Confused (totally deluded emoticon)...

I'm in a similar situation to you i.e. haven't really done anything else while looking after DS, and have just put:

July 2007 to present
Career break - bringing up my son

I've had some interviews, so it obviously doesn't sound too off-putting to employers!

that is brilliant Scrambly, thanks for your reply, I think that is a great way to put it, job hunting here I go... Smile
