For years I have been thinking about writing a children's story book. I have no idea how to go about this. I guess I just type it up, search for a publisher and submit it.
I sort of have an idea of how to start. I have read a lot of childrens books, having had two children of my own, and have been a nursery nurse for the last twelve years.
Most books seem to have a moral which is my sticking point but this seems to be what publishers are looking for. Does anyone have any experience or advice?

DH has had a book self published - very different from vanity publishing.
Cost us £250 for 100 copies.
Some he gives away as promotion, others he sells via his web site.
Get the Writers Handbook at the library and google 'self publishing'

Thanks I will. Have been looking at different publishers websites to see what they are after. Am so busy doing a course for work at the moment has been really intense but should be finished in about 3 weeks. Then i am seriously thinking of giving it a go as you never know till you try!!
