I have 11 years experience in banking in the City, all on the client side. I am due to go back in the next couple of months when my mat leave ends and I know that I can't go back into my previous role due to hours/travel etc. Given that I have worked with transaction documentation for years now do you think I would be able to get part-time work locally (South East) as a legal PA? I have given up on earning a City salary but need to earn a decent income. Any advice gratefully received!

Hi - If you can type and can format reports (track changes etc) proficiently you will be fine. The legal firms tend to want experience in the legal field - maybe modify your CV to include lots of work with legal contracts, liaison with solicitors etc.

I'm sure you would be great.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate that. I think I'll get in contact with some recruitment firms now...
