stupid mistake on cv what to do?

I have just noticed a minor but none the less a stupid spelling mistake on my CV that I sent for a job application last week. Should I email them and ask them to replace my CV as I have noticed the mistake or keep schtum? Attention for detail is an important part of the role! Blush. DH says he uses reasons like this to sift out applicants so now I am really worried as I want this job.

Tricky. I guess I would acknowledge the error as I would be put off employing someone who has spelling mistakes on their CV. One way or the other, it does not make a great impression but I think rectify your error is better than to ignore it.

I agree with Elsie.

Email them a new PDF copy of your CV -- tell them it's updated, and to replace the previous one, but don't explain why. This happens here all the time, and I'm so busy I don't have time to look at applications until close to the meeting anyway, so I will only look at latest versions.

OK. Will do it now. Thanks.
