stupid mistake on cv what to do?

I have just noticed a minor but none the less a stupid spelling mistake on my CV that I sent for a job application last week. Should I email them and ask them to replace my CV as I have noticed the mistake or keep schtum? Attention for detail is an important part of the role! . DH says he uses reasons like this to sift out applicants so now I am really worried as I want this job.

Tricky. I guess I would acknowledge the error as I would be put off employing someone who has spelling mistakes on their CV. One way or the other, it does not make a great impression but I think rectify your error is better than to ignore it.

Email them a new PDF copy of your CV -- tell them it's updated, and to replace the previous one, but don't explain why. This happens here all the time, and I'm so busy I don't have time to look at applications until close to the meeting anyway, so I will only look at latest versions.
