Hello, newbie here, hoping someone can help!
I have a return to work date of the 22nd March but I'd like to extend by another 5 months up to my full 52 week allocation but I'm unclear as to the notice period.
DirectGov is very clear that if you wish to return to work EARLY then you must give 8 weeks notice or your employer will be under no obligation to pay you. However, there is no distinct reference to notice if you wish to return later or any penalties if you fail to do so.
I have 7.5 weeks and am hoping that this should be sufficient but it looks like there may be a few problems with changes to my role & I'm slightly concerned that my employer will look for any loophole.
