I have a US based website and am starting a similar one in the UK. I already have the domain name. Who would you recommend for a web host.

I have done some research but can only come across horror stories, not feedback from happy customers.

If it's shared hosting you want I can recommend Surpass (who are big in the US as well), although their best support is through the 'Surmunity' forum rather than direct hand holding so you need to be reasonably self-starting, but technically and uptime-wise they are top.

As an alternative look at 34SP who others may recommend, although I can't vouch for their technical set-up or support.

If you want something more dedicated, Memset are good for traditional VPS, UK2 for cloud VPS (their brand is vps.net, again also in the US).

If you look on webhostingtalk.com you will only get horror stories Grin.
