Leave Without Pay - how affect annual leave?

Hello,
We have a Nanny who has taken a month leave without pay.
I am trying to check that we pay the right amount of annual leave.
How is the entitlement 5.6 weeks affected when leave without pay is taken??
Do I just calculate the 5.6 weeks pro rata based on the time actually worked throughout the year?

Thanks in advance,

No as I understand, her annual leave entitlement remains the same. You'd only pro-rata if she changes her working hours. She's still working for you during unpaid leave so she's still entitled to it (unless you stopped her contract before the leave and started it again afterwards).

Agree, if you want to reduce her AL balance you'd have to be paying her for some of this month.
