I'm a cleaner in an entertainment complex. I came into work as usual on Friday, we were told that we would be closed on Friday night due to snow/ice etc, so therefore we would not be needed on Saturday, I was due to work on Saturday night but received phonecall on Sat informing me that building was closed.
Have been told that we will not be paid for the loss of these two shifts. I was under the impression that if we were willing to work but company decided to close we would still be paid. We are employees of the company not contract cleaners, any advice, help, would be brillant.
