I may be getting a new job doing Solicitors Accounts. I vaguely know about Solicitors Accounts Rules but I need to read up. Can anyone reccomend a website or a book. More importantly its handwritten at the moment and needs to go computerised. Can anyone reccomend software?

Look on the Solicitors Regulation Authority website for details of SAR www.sra.org.uk.

There are alot of specalist accounting software so you might need to do a bit of research on google or something or talk to a software supplier.

By 'doing Solicitors Accounts' do you mean you are going to be keeping the books for the solicitor? If so, there are no set rules for the 'internal' book-keeping (i.e. the office side). However, if the solicitor operate client account(s), in which clients' money is kept, then there are rules about how the accounting records of these should be kept. As mylittlemonkey suggested, these can be found at SRA's web.
