Redundancy notice and Pension - HELP!

Hi
Due to funding it looks like there won't be the money to pay my salary when I go back. My boss essentially said even pro-rata for a few days they wouldn't be able to pay my salary as too much!
I haven't been there 2 years so no redundancy but I have 4 months notice in my contract. I am not due back until April next year and am currently on statutory maternity. My query is if they make me redundant say in Feb -when I am not at work - do they have to pay notice at my full salary or is it just the statutory maternity rate.

Also I saw on Dirctgov that my employer should continue to pay 'usual amount' into pension. That was 7.5% of salary - a few hundred quid - now they are paying 7.5% of statutory - less than a hundred, just want to check if anyone knows whether this is right

I don't know about the notice pay but the full pension contributions based on % of full salary should be paid throughout OML as you are entitled to all benefits except salary.

The notice pay thing is a bit unclear - there is a rule that if you are only entitled to statutory notice (1 week if you've been there less than 2 years), then you get statutory notice at full pay, but if you are entitled to more than statutory notice, you just get what's in your contract. So if your contract just says about giving you 4 months' notice (as in telling you 4 months in advance) that your employment is ending, they could say that they should just pay you what you would normally be receiving during that time, as you have been given notice as per the contract.

Usual amount into pension means just that, they can't reduce it in line with your pay during maternity leave, they have to continue paying as usual, the same amount.
