Resignation notice

Hi,

My contract does not state a specific resignation notice period.
If I worked for 7.5 years how much is legal minimum I have to give notice? And can I insist on it?

Although the employer should have stipulated a notice period.

Thanks for the link. I checked and found the below paragraph. Does it mean that I as an employee can give one week only regardless of how many years I work and Employer must give me the below minimums?? Seems unfair for employer??? Thanks again!

Both you and your employer are normally entitled to a minimum period of notice of termination of employment. After one month's employment, you must give your employer at least one week's notice; this minimum is unaffected by longer service. Your employer must give you:

That's the notice your employer must give you. The rules are different as far as I can see for an employee giving notice.
