job application question

Does 'apply by letter' mean just that, or do you think I can include a cv? It says to give details of recent career history, experience to date and two referees. Surely more sensible to send a cv with an accompanying letter? Or should I fit all that information into a letter? How long - aren't they only supposed to be one side of A4?

Usually it means by covering letter which is a letter and cv, no more than 1 A4 sheets double sided. HTH

Thanks, makes more sense to do it that way than a constant stream of prose in a letter. (shh. Don't really want the job anyway, but on JSA so must show willing).
