agencys and sickness

dp started work for an agency was there for a couple of days then taken ill - have phoned and informed the ageny every day (2 days off work so far) and they said that because it looks like he'll be ill for a while they going to terminate his contract - can they do this ?

Unfortunately I think they proabably cann -anyone with undre a year's service isn't very well protected in law. I would recheck the contract they gave him just in case.
