WWYD - days and hours pros and cons?!

Have to work 21 hours over 3 days.

Mon, Tue, Wed - gets it all out of the way at once, but harder for work - Weds PM til MOn AM a long time. Kids in nursery 3 consecutive days...(3 and 18 months).

Or work Mon, Wed, Fri - we hardly ever go away at the weekends.

Wondering if you think it would be nicer for me and the kids to have one day at nursery, one day at home, one day at nursery, one day at home...etc...

Pros and cons to both?

I would go for the days all in one block, easier for your children to know that they go to nursery for three days in a row rather than never knowing whether they are coming or going (they are very little to be able to figure out the business of every second day at nursery!). It's also better for you in terms of productivity, if you are doing one day at work, one day off you will never really relax during the week and you will leave the office every day feeling like you need to complete every task because you won't be back again for two days.

I do Tues, Wed, Thurs which suits our life style well - particularly chance to tidy up after weekend on Mondays.

I also do Tues, Wed, Thurs and I find it really helps to focus the mind....for those 3 days I am in work-mode and than I can switch into mummy-mode for 4 whole days. Keeps the 2 things nice and distinct. I've recently gone from full-time and it's been so much better for family life. I feel like I'm a better mummy to my daughter.
