self-employed/mat allowance

I'll be claiming maternity allowance from the end of Dec. Do I carry on paying self-employed monthly NI contributions, or will these stop automatically? Not sure if hmrc departments communicate that well with each other...

I kept paying mine but it was 10 years ago and I only got money for 14 weeks.
For the sake of £2 a week its probably easiest to leave the direct debit running.

When I received it last year, they stopped my direct debits automatically (and restarted them at the right time too).
