Hello!
Just wondering if anyone can offer advice on this.
I'm due to start my maternity leave in January and am currently on M6 which means that I would be eligible to apply for threshold by the end of this year I think. Can I still do this and what's the best way of going about it?

I am sure you can. Maternity Leave isn't an option not too surely? Check the NUT website and see what it says.

I thought the applications were usually done in Autumn term though or I may be wrong Confused

Have you just moved to M6 in this recent round of PM? (i.e last term and backdated to September?)

You can apply now but it is not paid until the end of the year you have been paid M6 if that makes sense.
You can apply now and it will be paid from next September 2011 or when you return. Your time on maternity leave will still count as your year on M6 as you are still employed.

PS you will have to apply before you go on maternity leave - cece is right it has to be done this term.

Thank you!
Will speak to the head tomorrow- just wanted to check first that it was an option!
