Anyone turned a creative talent into a viable business?

Would love to hear from anyone who's succeeded to do this, as i've been struggling to get anywhere with my artistic leanings for years now. kids and general drudgery constantly seem to get in the way.

How did you manage it?

Hi Sweet,

I'm a jewellery designer, I create, make and sell. One man band. I have very small children and it's a viable business my bread and butter as it were (and my sanity actually).

Takes dedication, a love of what you do, and being organised helps a lot.

I'm not sure where to start to answer your question, what are your artistic leanings, do you have something to sell, or is it a creative service you want to offer?
