Interview, first one in years....please help!

I have just started to look for work, after not working for many years, with my DP switching to be the at home person.

I am very suprised to have been invited for an interview next week. It is a first stage group interview, for customer service advisor role, within a web hosting company.

I am unsure what exactly to wear to be honest. I have not had an interview for so many years, I feel completely out of touch. The company's corporate site, states they have a casual dress code. I obviously want to make the best impression I can, but don't want to stand out and look misplaced.

Should I go for my black suit and blouse/top? Just smart trousers/skirt and smart blouse/top?

Any advice would be so welcome. Both on what to wear and any other handy tips!

I always think a calf length skirt with a pretty top and a short cardigan and mid height heels - looks smart but not too 80's

Can't go wrong with a suit IME. Even if you do stand out it will be for the right reason - i.e. you have made the most effort to look professional.

agree with TB. I have a better first impression of people who are too smart at interview to those who are on the casual side of what we normally wear at work. So go for the suit. Good luck!

Thank you so much everyone, I think I will go for the suit. I am going to treat myself to a nice new blouse/top to go underneath, try to give myself a bit of a boost.
