Interview tomorrow - back to work!

I'm on maternity leave and I am due to return after Extended maternity leave at the beginning of January. However as my job requires shift work, and I was not enjoying it when I went on leave I would prefer not to return to it.
I spoke to my employer a few months ago about my concerns regarding the shifts (not the rest of it!) and they offered some options, including applying for a new role they thought I might enjoy.
The interview is tomorrow.
If I am lucky enough to be offered the new job I am sure they will ask me to start before Jan - probably November some time.Do you know what my rights are regarding this?

They can't force you back before the date you agreed you'd return on.

You can come back earlier, but that's up to you.
