Good length for a CV?

Am planning to post my CV on a jobs website, what's a good length? I think I can probably fit everything onto one page, just. Or could add a bit more detail plus other skills etc if two pages.

2 pages is standard

Cheers.

2 pages is about right.

What sort of jobs website is it? One word of caution, a lot of agencies pick up the CVs and send them out to firms willy nilly.
I would choose 1/perhaps 2 good agencies specific to your industry/field and call them instead of posting your CV to be honest.

I agree - Go for 2 pages. I am lecturer and I teach study skills modules to students and we tell them all 2 sides.

It's for a general jobs website with a specific job that looks interesting - as an environmental advisor (which I'd fit well). To apply for it involves uploading my CV.

I suppose I could see if I can find the same job posted on some other sites I know, and apply a little more directly, I didn't think of my CV being sent all round wherever.

You may be OK, if it is going to a specific agency?
I meant not to post your CV as someone looking for a job on a website, am always shocked people do that!

I have my CV on a website, but it is specific in the field I want to work in. I've had a good response so far.

2 pages is the standard length.
