Childcare vouchers, quick question...

I've looked at the HRMC guidance, but my brain is frozen with tiredness, so could anyone tell me, can they deduct the vouchers from my first six weeks SMP at 90% of my salary?

I know they can deduct from anything over SMP, I get 50% plus SMP for the 12 weeks following the first six, and that they can't deduct it from the remaining period following my enhanced pay, and that they have to keep providing them when I'm on zero income, but can't work out the first bit!

Thank you

They can only deduct them from any salary over and above the SMP which is ~£120 a week, so you will still pay when you get 90% and then 50% of your normal pay, they will pay once you're on SMP and nothing else.

They can't deduct from SMP. SMP is 90% of salary for the first 6 weeks then £120ish. So they won't be able to deduct them for any time other than when they are paying you over and above SMP.

Thanks flowery, that's what I hoped. Ah well, off to do battle with payroll now then! :)
