entitled to maternity leave?

Hope someone has some experience of this. A friend of mine works 9am-1pm every Saturday morning in a local government job. She is ttc and is wondering if they are obliged to hold her job open for her when she has the baby. Presumably she isn't entitled to any maternity pay from the government because she works so little?

i didnt think it mattered your hours, you were entitled to mat leave (maybe not pay, might depend how long she has worked there)

she should contact her human resources dept, they will have guidelines they could give her
