Now that my ds is in pre school I need to make plans for the future so I've decided to do sports massage freelance. That way I can work around the kids (hopefully). I was wondering please if anyone has used elearnuk online courses before and what they thought or if anyone has known anyone to use them? I have no way of doing a part time course with dh in army and away all the time. Please has anyone got any info for me????

I do know a couple of people who have done a Sports Massage course - I think at Diploma level www.sportsmassageassociation.org/sma_accredited_schools.aspx

They both had to attend classes and do a certain number of hours practical - maybe 100+ over 9 months?

Would something like this fit in with your life?

It would depend how often and where I would have to attend practical days. This is the reason why I would have to do online course its really the only way I can study around the kids.

Sorry I don't know anything about the courses but personally I would check there is actually a market for sports massage in your area. Are you in an army town? Where would you practice from? Are there therapy centres locally you can rent a room from? If so, perhaps you could go and have a chat with them and see if treating people in the day would work.

My DP trained as a hypnotherapist, it's a nice second job but is quite hard to make a living from. When the money stopped coming in the therapy centre ramped up the rent...Also people wanted to come in the evenings and at weekends because they were working in the day.

Sorry not to answer about the courses but I think the end goal of exactly what you want to do is what you should investigate first.
