Hi I Urgently need a good accountant who can help me get my tax records etc sorted.

I am in a right mess and still need to do last years. Every person i speak to at HMRC tells me something different.

I just need to get it sorted and would like you to file my accounts for me each year.

Thanks

(Foster Carer)

The tax allowances for fostering are quite generous and also fairly simple so I would be surprised if it is worthwhile paying an accountant to do this (and I am an accountant). this help sheet and this section of the HMRC web site explain everything.

Fostering is fairly easy. Just note that if you foster several kids, do respite care etc then it might be worth engaging an accountant as the day/week count can get a bit more complicated if you don't have them all for a full year. And, especially if you're fostering more than one child, you might still end up with a tax bill.

Our firm has someone with several foster care clients but we're in Shropshire and I'm not sure that's convenient for you.
