Adhoc Babysitting

There are a few mums who get together occassionally and we got to talking about adhoc babysitting needs i.e. so we could go to the hairdressers, or just have 1hr of quite mum time.

One suggestion was that we use a token system where we could exchange for 1 hr slots. If you run out of tokens then you need to babysit to get more.

If we were to do this what legal issues would we need to consider?

Can you think of any issues which we might want to bring up before this begins?

could you not just do a google calendar thing to keep track of what you are doing and when, and history will record who is doing what for who? You need to keep it informal, as a token system might bring you into that 'reciprocal benefit' childminding thing so you'd have to be ofsted-ed etc?
