Changing jobs soon after starting

I moved jobs earlier this year after over 5 years with the same employer. I have been in my new job for 6 months and it's not living up to my expectations. The money is not great once I've taken out commuting costs, and I'm bored already. I've seen a couple of things I would like to go for, but am worried how it will look on my application form. Are employers likely to be put off by the fact that I already want a change, and is there a positive way to present it? Obviously I wouldn't mention being bored (or the fact that I increasingly want to kill the boss!), but is this a real deal-breaker? Part of me thinks I should grit my teeth and bear it for at least another year, and part of me thinks life's just too short to be doing that. Would welcome any advice. Thanks.

No. Just explain you moved for a bigger challenge and you'd done enough at your last place and the reality of the role you were sold is not the same as the role you went into.

Its happens a lot. People jump ship and realise they've been sold a duck in the interview.

Thanks. I don't regret moving, & things are now pretty bad at my old place (lots of redundancies & some other changes I knew were coming & wasn't happy about), but think there must be something better out there than this.
