What does one wear to an interview these days?

I haven't got a suit or even a smart jacket that doesn't look like it's for a wedding (which it was).

Interview (OK I haven't got one yet but I'm hoping!!!!!) will be for office based admin / IT type jobs.

Would a smart pair of trousers & top do?

yes I think so. No sleeveless, flip flop, gypsy skirt shenigans though

i dont see why not. but treat yourself to some new accessories to give you a bit of confidence, like a bag (and matching shoes of course!) or a necklace

I think smart office type trousers and top would be Ok. But make it a conservative blouse/shirt type top, nothing low cut or with logos. The interviewer will not notice your shoes/bag or jewellery unless they are inappropriate ( but buy new ones if you feel like it and have the £££££).

Suit definitely not essential but looking clean, tidy and professional is!!!

I have no experience outside "normal " offices IYSWIM but I've been told that if your job is in the media or something trendy you dont have to follow the usual rules! Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.

It's not really the weather for jackets anyway! It's saharan here tonight.

I don't really do the boho thing so no worries about the flip flops!
