Does anyone know if it is possible to extend a 2 year working holiday visa for an Australian working in the UK? Many thanks

Extension of visas gereally come under the UK Border Agency. It may be worth having a look at their website for information, or at least a contact to ask.

FWIW, I sometimes help some foreign nationals to extend their visas in the UK (not holiday visas, so I don't actually know much about those type) as part of my job (sorry, can't really be more specific). I don't have a contact with the UK BA, but I do know that once the forms are sent off, I get told to allow 14 weeks before even asking about progress Shock

I don't think so somehow but try www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier5/youthmobilityscheme/

If you look at the policy guidance (available through that link) you'll see that extensions of stay are not permitted. Nor is switching into any other category of the immigration rules.

OP (or the person she's asking on behalf of) needs to seek advice from a qualified immigration practitioner. The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner has a find an adviser page on its website.

I don't think you can extend WHM visas.
