What is the usual pay rate for telesales?

I've been offered a job (that I want) in Telesales. The rate is £6 ph plus commission. Is this the usual rate? I've tried googling this, but without success.

Sounds fair. Bear in mind that it is sales based so the min wage is low to reward people who sell more.
