I'm getting ready to ramp up my hours once the school hols finish and ds back to school full time.

I have 1 client - 45 mins away - will slow down in winter - so no prospect of increasing hours there.

1 client - who is not doing very well and may go bust soon.

1 client - working remotely for - can't see any prospect of increasing those hours.

1 client - who is very shady and I'd like to drop (if he doesn't go bust first)

So I thought of a mailshot to all the local business's. (Not a very big town - but maybe 30 businesses).

Any tips for a successful mailshot - or is it a case of if someone is looking for bookkeeper/finance/business guidance - they'll read it - if not - they'll bin it?

Try the federation of small businesses - they might offer a more cost-effective way of advertising to the right kind of businesses.
