Do you get bank hols back when on mat leave

Hi there,
I have recently found out that you still accrue annual leave when on maternity leave.
Can anyone tell me if you also get the bank holidays (as a legal entitlement) or if this is at the discretion of the company?
My company is very small and this is not mentioned in the handbook.
Thanks

In my work the bank hols were just treated as mat leave i.e. they weren't added onto my leave accrual.

Yes you do now (didn't when I had DD 3 1/2 years ago) will see if I can find previous thread to give you any back up info you might need.

Ooooh I might be going to claim some more holidays then!

I went back to work three months ago and when on mat leave bank holidays were not accrued like annual leave.

I think it depends how you contract is worded.

You are given say 20 days holiday + bank holidays I don't think you can claim them.

If you get 28 days inc bank holidays you can.

Depends who you work for, I work for the NHS. In my current trust, I get bank holidays added on. In that last one, I wouldn't have. Check your company's maternity policy.
