Not intending to return to work - SMP entitlement?

I'm 3 months into mat leave, which started mid-April. I qualify for the full SMP, so some pay up to 9 months.

DH has a new job 100 miles away and we'll be moving in the next couple of months (totally happy with this).

Does the fact that I do not intend to / will not be able to return to work make any difference to my SMP?

I assume that even if I let my boss & HR know we're moving, I'll still be entitled to the pay upto 9 months. I also assume I don't have to formally hand in my one months notice till next March for end of employment next mid-April. Is that right?

Makes no difference at all. I've told my boss I won't be returning to work in November and I'm still entitled to full SMP. I think it's 8 weeks before the end of your ML that you have to tell them if you are returning.

Are you entitled to any Occupational Maternity Pay? You'll have to re-pay that under some policies so check yours carefully.
