So anxious that 11 mth DD will starve. Childminder won't have time feed her with all
the distraction techniques I usually have to do to get her to finish a meal. It's soooo stressful feeding her. Self feeding hit and miss. Spoon feeding
miss and miss. Yogurts no problem. Fruit ok. Water from cup fine. But main meals can and does bring me to tears. She has to be engrossed in a toy or programme or someone else talking to open her mouth. Or will happily feed herself for five min max then start throwing food etc.

This is my main worry about going back to work. Please reassure me!

Stop doing the distraction stuff, leave her to feed herself, and take the food away as soon as she starts throwing it - she'll soon learn, and certainly won't starve.

I assume the CM looks after other small children too? Peer pressure can work wonders even at that age, I wouldn't worry, she will be eating like the other children at the CM's very soon. Unfortunately she might still play up at home, though - CMOTdibbler is right about dealing with that.
