Does anyone have problems searching the website? I am regularly offered 5 pages of jobs with at least 3 not in my county & I get different jobs for my area depending on putting towns in individually.

I complained about this 2 years ago and was told they were fixing it. I spoke to someone this morning who tells me that only a handful of people have this problem.

No, it's not brilliant.

Which browser are you using? Might be worth trying Internet Explorer if you're not already. Most websites are designed around IE and not alway tested using Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc. so can cause problems.

Internet explorer & safari. Same issue on both.

I live in Cumbria & was offered london& Cambridge. Usually the problem is location searches include morecambe bay so get offered Blackpool as being within 30 miles but jobcentre doesn't even have that logic!

Oh dear, pretty rubbish!

What are you looking for? www.indeed.co.uk is quite good. It picks up jobs from lots of different websites.

Anything! Inspiration too! It's not serious looking (yet) but trying to get ideas of what's available for now

Nhs jobs is pretty good and you can set it up to send you email alerts when something you're looking for comes up. Might be worth a try.

Job centre website is poo. I've just been advertising a job with them and it had a crap response because it didn't even come up when you searched for the actual job title

It was so much easier in the days when we just went to the job centre and read the boards!!

Speckledeggy · 25/07/2010 21:32

Funnily enough, I drove past the Job Centre a couple of days ago and wondered if they still had those boards. Thought I would go in one day for a nosey.

nymphadora · 26/07/2010 01:36

No they have screens instead. Same info as the website. I was

Oh, won't bother then.

I used to like wandering around the Job Centre when I was a student!
