Hi
I am a single mother to a nearly 3 year old.i am 33. i have been to uni, did 2 yrs of chemistry degree but didnt finish. i have had various jobs with some great companies.
I am considering primary teaching. I have credits from uni and considering finishing degree via Open University, then doing PGCE.
have just been looking at local school webiste and makes me very nervous but perhaps will volunteer. Do i just contact school or do I need to get CRB check done first? i am clueless as i am just starting to think of options. I would have to study part time. Also i am intersted in psychology however not sure if this would not give me the best opportunity to get a job at the end of the training.any advice welcome!

Contact the school, they will do the CRB check. You can get one done yourself through Disclosure Scotland but the school will more than likley do one anyway.

Contact them now and it may be ready for the new term.
