Sirdar Smudge Wool difficulties

Hello

Posting on behalf of my Mum who is an experienced knitter (I am not). My Mum is trying to knit with Sirdar Smudge Wool and is really struggling - it doesn’t flow (apparently).

Any advice, tips on knitting with this wool greatly appreciated.

Is she knitting on either metal or plastic needles? I find yarn flows better on my bamboo needles but even then only on needles that have absorbed some natural oils from my skin. The more I use the needles the smoother they work.
