Hi I really want to learn to knit. Any advice on where to start?
You tube tutorials? Knitting sets? I have no idea

There are lots of good YouTube videos - I often recommend Knitfreedom (scroll down a bit for free knitting videos) and - this is a playlist for beginners.

Your local yarn shop will be happy to help as well, and may well have a knit night you can go along to.

In terms of the equipment, I would start with a pair of short, straight needles, maybe something like these and a ball of Stylecraft, which is the most commonly used yarn for Woolly Hugs. Stylecraft isn't the easiest to come by in shops, so if you are going to e.g. a Hobbycraft, grab something you can practice with, like their own brand double knit yarn.
