Handmade wash cloths

Just wondered if anybody made their own wash cloths and/or face clothes? I'd like to try & crochet my own but there are loads of patterns...hoping somebody can recommend a pattern that they've found easy to run up but that functions well too!

They are small and quick to make. Just try a few patterns you like and see what texture you prefer. You should get several out of one ball of yarn.

I've made a few from cotton yarn and I think string would work well too. 4 rows knit then xx rows moss stitch and finish with another 4 knit. They're great!
