Hello, I'm a knitter at beginner level. I don't have much experience in reading patterns but I have knitted scarves and shawls, and am currently knitting this https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=7314&cid=19 in a chunky acrylic yarn.

I'd like to knit a jumper for myself in the summer holidays. I have 6 balls of King Cole Authentic Chunky http://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/king-cole-authentic-chunky-sloe-2176-100g in 3 different colours. Recommended needle size is 6.

I'd like it to be a really simple, basic jumper with a round neck and long sleeves. I'm a size 8 to 10. Relaxed fit, no fancy pattern (well, no more fancy than the poncho I'm doing at the moment). I can do increases and decreases, and I have stitch markers. I'd like to do stripes or blocks of colour.

I'd be really grateful for some recommendations of patterns that are compatible with my yarn. Thank you ThanksSmile

Join Ravelry and use the pattern search filters to find a pattern. You can add 'free' to your search to only see free patterns. You can put in the recommended tension for your yarn, and it'll give you appropriate patterns which you can print off.

Thanks very much, Toofle! I wasn't aware of ravelry. I have now joined, and located the search option for gauge. Great tip, thanks. I'm sure I'll find something suitable on there.

@AwakeCantSleep, glad it helped. Sometimes I think my hard-worn scraps of knowledge fall into the pit of oblivion.
Knit on!
