Hi there,
I'm a beginner knitter and I've just made a scarf using the basic knit stitch Smile
I'm just wondering what to focus on next as I am so new to knitting and have no clue what my next step should be!
Thank you

Check out the ongoing projects here - nearly everything is squares in DK on 4mm needles so you can practise different stitches or learn to follow more complicated patterns.

I'd recommend looking at the Chernobyl (2019) and Snugs projects as there are several colours common to both but no particular urgency.

Hi, I found this page easy to follow for learning different stitches when I started to knit
www.simple-knitting.com/knitting-stitch-patterns.html

If you decide to do some squares for the Hugs which MrsH mentioned then we usually all say that we cast on between 30 and 33 stitches for a 6" square, depending upon your tension.
