Help with colour choice?

I offered to make a blanket for my friend’s DD.

She would like it in Gryffindor colours (red and yellow) as she’s a huge Harry Potter fan. And I was hoping for some suggestions of which to use please? I will almost definitely use stylecraft special dk.

I have not seen Harry Potter :) - so checked on mr google - how about saffron and lipstick?

Thanks I was thinking either lipstick or claret for the red. I’ve got bits of both lipstick and saffron now you mention it. They look good.

What about claret and gold or is that too dark?

Possibly. I think thats probably the best option but the gold looks a bit orangey on my screen so I was unsure.
